Marri Sasidhar Reddy is the son of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Marri Chenna Reddy. Presently he is heading the committee / panel on Disaster Management formed at the central level. He is given cabinet rank as the Chairman of Committee on Disaster Management. He served thrice as an MLA of the Congress Party from Sanathnagar Assembly Constituency in Hyderabad district. M. Sasidhar Reddy was born on 24th August 1949 at Hyderabad. He belongs to general category and his address is 12-5-28, Lalaguda, Secunderabad – 500017. He studied M.S. (Agronomy) and was elected three terms as an MLA of the Congress Party. He was sidelined in state politics for a long time due to differences with YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
Sasidhar Reddy also served as a Minister for Environment, Science and Technology during 1993-94. He was married to Smt. M. Indira Devi. He has two sons and one daughter. He is slowly returning to state politics and may play crucial role in the 2014 Assembly elections.
