Telangana State to have 14 New Districts – Hyderabad to become 4 Districts

Telangana Bill The Government of Telangana is proposed to form new districts in Telangana state to decentralise the administration. The Government if mulling forming 14 new districts in the state. Hyderabad may be divided into 4 districts as Ranga Reddy district to be renamed as Vikarabad district. Proposed new districts in Telangana state are as follows:

1) Siddipet and Sangareddy (Medak district)
2) Wanaparthy and Nagarkarnool (Mahabubnagar district)
3) Suryapet (Nalgonda district)
4) Janagama, Acharya Jayasankar Bhupalapalli (Warangal district)
5) Bhadrachalam (Khamma district)
6) Jagtial (Karimnagar district)
7) Manchirial (Adilabad district)
8) Hyderabad to be divided into 4 districts.
9) Rangareddy district to be reorganised as Vikarabad district.

The Government may amend the existing Andhra Pradesh Districts Act (Formation) – 1974 as Telangana Districts (Formation) Act – 2015. The Government may name Bhupalapalli district in Warangal as Prof. Jayasankar District.
