Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the management of the sacred temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala – Tirupati is providing Divya Darshan for Pedestrians who come on foot. The devotees can walk to tirumala through Gali Gopuram or Srivari Mettu for Darshan. The pedestrians can avail Darshan of Lord Venkateswara within 30 minutes through Divya Darshan. Pilgrims have to start their walk from Alipiri to reach the hilltop. You can park your vehicles at Alipiri and reach the starting point on foot. The TTD made arrangements to carry your luggage to Tirumala. They can give you a receipt at the luggage collection counter and you need to submit the receipt while collecting your luggage on hilltop after Darshan.
The TTD has established Bio-metric counters on these foot paths in order to facilitate free darshan to pedestrians. They can also avail free accommodation (P.A.C) and free food facilities at Tirumala. The TTD treat devotees who comes on foot to tirumala on a top priority and offer all the services at free of cost and give them preference in most of the services.
It would be really an interesting and joyful journey for pedestrians with so many other statues, parks and forests and green scenes of nature comes on the way to tirumala. You can see the deer park and the tall statue of Lord Hanuman. You can also spot many cats, rats, bhors and often wild animals such as Cheetahs and Bears as well. Wish you a happy journey!
