Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy is a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He served as CM og the state from 2004 to 2009. He died in a tragic helicopter crash in 2009. He is instrumental in bringing the Congress Party back into power in Andhra Pradesh. He lead the party and government for two successive wins in 2004 and 2009 elections. He was elected to AP Assembly for 6 terms and also served as MP from Kadapa Lok Sabha Constituency. After the demise of YSR, his son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched YSR Congress Party and presently landed in jail in the disproportionate assets case.
