Profile of Pamidi Samanthakamani – MLC of TDP

Pamidi Samanthakamani is a senior TDP leader from Anantapur district. She was selected as MLC candidate from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on 10th March 2013. She belongs to SC (Madiga) community. Following is the brief profile of Pamidi Samanthakamani:

Date of birth: 25th June 1946.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc.
Native Place: Anantapur district.
Family: Her husband is a former medical official of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

Political background: Pamidi Samanthakamani has served as an MLA of Singanamala Assembly Constituency of Anantapur district during 1989 – 1994. She was in Congress party at that time. Mohammad Saleem is another latest MLC from TDP.

Samanthakamani also served as Minister for School Education, Women and Child Welfare during that period (1989 – 1994). She joined in the TDP in 1989. She served as President of APSRTC Region, Treasurer and Vice – President of TDP.

She lost the elections in 2004 and 2009 Assembly elections. She is presently in TDP charge of Singanamala Constituency.
