Government of Andhra Pradesh has come out with a major decision to grant 19 percent interim relief to all the employees of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC).
The employees unions have not been happy with the IR and demanding for 27 percent of IR and 50 percent fitment. The present hike is towards the salary for the employees who have been waiting for recommendations of the Pay Revision Committee (PRC).
The decision to hike 19 percent salary in form of IR has been announced by the Transport Minister, K. Atchannaidu and RTC chairman Varla Ramaiah after due approval from the CM Chandrababu Naidu.
APSRTC has about 54000 employees and IR is likely to cost the exchequer an amount of Rs. 240 crore. The Government decision came out during the negotiations of NMU with the authorities over IR. The unions are demanding 27 percent of IR as it was the same in 2014.
