Amaravati Govt Employees Housing Policy – 2019 GO and Guidelines by AP

Government employees in Andhra Pradesh has a reason to celebrate in this election year. The state government has decided to allot housing plots or construct a house for all the Govt employees in capital region. AP Government has already approved the Amaravati Government Employees Housing Policy.

500 Sq. Yards for IAS Officers:

Govt. has decided to allot 500 sq. yards housing plots to IAS officers. Other Gazetted, Non Gazetted and employees will get plots or flats depending upon the land availability. Employees have to be formed as a society to avail the benefits of housing scheme. All AP cadre IAS officers and those on deputation are eligible under this scheme.

District employees also eligible:

State Govt. employees working in districts and regional levels are also eligible for housing scheme. All the employees working in AP before and after bifurcation and those allotted after bifurcation also will be eligible.

Terms and Conditions / Guidelines:

1) Employees should not have own house / house site on their name / spouse name / children name.

2) Only one employee will be considered if both wife and husband are Government employees.

3) Plots will be allotted depending upon the availability of land. Private land will be procured if Government land is not available and apartments will be constructed in such cases.

4) Land / Plots / Flats will be allotted to only societies or associations. Employees have to submit self affidavit confirming that they do not have any plot / house on the name of self / spouse / children.

5) House construction has to be completed within 3 years after allotment. The property is prohibited for sale for 15 years after allotment.
