Andhra Pradesh is all set to elect new government on 11th April 2019. The Election Commission of India has announced elections schedule for AP Assembly along with general elections 2019 schedule. Following are the important dates and facts of AP Assembly elections 2019:
Elections to 175 seats in AP Assembly:
AP Assembly is going for elections in 175 seats. One member will be nominated to the Assembly by the Governor.
Election Schedule:
1) Release of Notification: 18 March 2019
2) Last date for filing nominations: 25 March
3) Scrutiny of nominations: 26 March
4) Withdraw of nominations: 28 March
5) Polling Date: 11 April
6) Counting of votes: 23 May 2019.
Lok Sabha Elections in AP:
Lok Sabha elections to 25 seats in AP will also be held on 11th April 2019. New voters can be enrolled till 15th March 2019. No vote will be deleted from the list as the schedule already been announced.
Lok Sabha elections will be held in 7 phases across the country. Along with Lok Sabha, elections to state assemblies in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim also will be held simultaneously. Results of all elections will be announced on 23rd May 2019.
