The Singapore team that is involved in formulating master plan for Andhra Pradesh capital, Amaravathi has come up with several new proposals to make the capital region more livable and increasing scope for decentralization of development. The Singapore team has suggested the massive infrastructure development plan aroun capital region to reduce the congestion in Amaravathi capital region.
The Central Plan Region will be in 2.11 lakhs acares spanning Vijayawada, Mangalagiri and Gannavaram along with Amaravathi capital region. Thousands of acres will come under Central Plan Region in Mangalagiri, Gannavaram and Vijayawada areas.
The Central Plan Region will not have any sky-scrappers. The Government will only concentrate on developing infrastructure in this region as this will augment the development / industrialization in the CRDA region. The plan also proposed footpaths, and cycle ways of 445 KM in the CRDA region.
The Government of AP will start the construction of AP Capital City in June 2015. The Bhumi Puja will be conducted in June at Tallayapalem or Venkatapalem villages. Both these villages comes under the purview of CRDA.
