Here comes a good news for the working journalists in Andhra Pradesh. Government of Andhra Pradesh has approved the housing proposals of AP – CRDA for the accredited journalists. According to the proposals of AP CRDA, housing facilities will be provided to 2000 working journalists in Andhra Pradesh.
2000 Journalists:
AP CRDA will take up the project to construct 30 lakhs sft apartment complexes for journalists in Amaravati. The total project cost is estimated at Rs.840 crores.
Rs.2800 per sft:
The apartments will be given to journalists at the concessional rates. It is decided to offer these flats for journalists at Rs.2800 per sft. In this scheme, Government will give concessions in the form of PMAY and also from IPR Department, Govt. of AP.
Amaravati Accredited Journalists Housing Society:
Total project is planned in four categories. The journalists have formed as an association called Amaravati Accredited Journalists Housing Society and applied for the housing scheme. Government of AP has allotted around 40 acres for housing purpose for journalists.
