The APSRTC has introduced concession in bus fares for senior citizens who are above 60 years of age. The concession of 25 percent in basic fare will be implemented in all kinds of APSRTC buses from 1st July 2016.
The 25 percent concession is applicable for ordinary buses, express, deluxe, garuda, Indra, super luxury, garuda plus, Amaravati buses and all AC buses.
The Chief Minister of AP Nara Chandrababu Naidu has announced this decision as few days back and APSRTC will be implementing the same from 1st July 2016.
Senior citizens have to produce the authentication certificate / card in proof of their age while availing concession in bus fare. They have to carry the proof at the time of journey. The concession is applicable on basic fare and all other service charges are same as for the normal citizens.
For Sr.Ctzns 25% concession on basic fare is a good offer from APSRTC. It is also clear that this concession is available on all categories of buses run by APSRTC to various destinations.
Now my question is whether this concession is available only for advance booking tickets issued across the reservation counters or also for the spot issue of tickets by the conductors of all categories of buses ?
Also please clarify whether this concession is available on all categories of City Bus services run by APSRTC ?

It is observed that invariably Aadhar cards only accepted for extending the concession to SR citizens and also confining to AP state house addressees only. Please clarify.
what are the documents that are to be shown for age proof are not mentioned clearly. the conductors are insisting only adhaar cards and none else.

I along with my friend were travelling back from Horsley Hill to Madanapally on 3rd Aug 2017, the conductor of the bus refused give us the Senior citizen ticket
As we are not of AP and not for Telangana resident inspite of producing our Adhara card. We stared from Horsley Hills at about 6.50 pm on 3/8/17, it was a short chasis bus
Why Aadhar is insisted for age proof?.in case required pl indicate clearly while booking the bus ticket under senior citizen quota. Demanding only aadhar card is humiliating when no such condition prevailing. Hope u wl clarify and if required pl make necessary corrections. Regards

Respected sir, The child is travelling in the apsrtc all category buses and online or in the bus at the age 5-12 years charged half ticket.but some of the conductors argues even though presenting school/ birth certificate with photo ID. So ple clarify with G.O no: or any circular to issue either govt.or Apsrtc.
