Auto, Taxi and Cab Drivers Pension Scheme in AP – Online Application Procedure, Eligibility and Selection Process
Government of Andhra Pradesh has rolled out another welfare scheme. The new scheme is aimed at providing pension / financial assistance to auto drivers, taxi drivers, maxi cab drivers who have own vehicle. The financial assistance is Rs.10000 per annum. It is estimated that about 4 lakhs auto / taxi / cab drivers will benefit out of this scheme. Online applications are invited through aptransport.in and aptransport.org.
The pension is aimed at helping the self-owned auto, taxi, maxi cab drivers to meet the expenses towards insurance, fitness certificate, repairs and others.
Online Applications for Auto Drivers Pension Scheme:
Interested and eligible auto drivers / taxi / cab drivers can apply online from September 14, 2019, for the financial year of 2019-2020. Last date for the receipt of onlne applications is 25th September 2019. Verification of applications will be done by 30th September 2019. The money will be disbursed by 4th October 2019.

About 4 lakhs beneficiaries:
It is estimated that about 4 lakhs drivers have their own autos, taxis and cabs. There will be no restriction on the number of beneficiaries in this scheme. The government will provide financial assistance to all eligible applicants, whoever meet the criteria.
Applicaitons at Eseva / Mee Seva:
You can also apply from DTC, RTO, Unit office, MVI office, Eseva, Mee Seva and CSC centres across the state. The applicants could directly apply on the website or could consult the respective offices or they could take the help of Village and Ward Volunteers.
Required documents:
The applicants should provide Aadhar, BPL or White Ration Card, registration certificate of the vehicle, driving licence, encumbered bank account passbook first page with account details and caste certificate in case of SC, ST, BC or Minority community.
All the owner cum drivers of auto, taxi, maxi cabs who have registered their vehicles on or before September 25, 2019, are eligible for the scheme to file the applications. All these owners should have valid driving licence.
