Private sector bank, Axis Bank today released 2nd Quarter results on 27 October. The bank reported an increase of 21 percent in its net profit for the quarter ended September 30 at Rs 1,362.3 crore.
The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 1,123.5 crore for the same period last year. Total income is increased by 13.22 percent. This is from Rs 8,280.3 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 to Rs 9,375 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013. The Axis Bank has released the details in a statement.
The bank reported a gross NPA of 1.19 percent in the reported quarter against 1.10 percent in the same period a year-ago. The net NPA stood at Rs 838.3 crore or 0.37 per cent against 0.35 percent in year-ago-period while the Bank’s NII was stood at Rs 2,937 crore, it said.
Capital adequancy ratio (basel III) was 15.85 per cent in thesecond quarter of current fiscal against 15.87 per cent in thesame period last year. The provisions of the Bank stood at Rs 687.5 crore against Rs 712.3 crore, it added.
