B. Chandrakala (IAS) is in news after CBI raids her residence in connection with alleged involvement in sand mining case in Uttar Pradesh. Though this is part of BJP’s poll strategy to raid it’s opponents, Chandrakala, an IAS officer from Karimnagar district is a much talked officer for her social media activism and personal videos. Following is the profile of B Chandrakala, IAS.
From Karimnagar district:
B. Chandrakala was born on 27-9- 1979 Garjana Palli Village of Yellareddy mandal in Karimnagar District of Telangana State. She is from 2008 batch of IAS officers. She served as District Magistrate of Madhura in Uttar Pradesh from 8 June 2014 to 14 October 2014 before Joining IAS.
Education:
She has studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya and completed ger Graduation in Economics from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Her father, Kishan, is a retired foreman with FCI at Ramagundam and mother is Lakshmi.
Chandrakala has completed BA from Koti Womend College and MA from Osmania University Hyderabad through Distance Education. She was married to A. Ramulu, who is an excutive Engineer. They have a daughter, Keerthi Meena. Chandrakala IAS is known for her lavish life style. Chandrakala was criticized for not disclosing her income and assets as like her colleagues.
