Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) is gearing up for the announcement of candidates for ensuing Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections. The party is likely to release the list of candidates by 31st October 2013. The BJP parliamentary board will meet on the same day to approve the candidates list.
BJP has declared Harsh Vardhan as it’s CM candidate for the assembly elections to be held on 4th December 2013. Several pre poll surveys have suggested that the BJP is most likely to emerge as a single largest party and come to power.
Harsh Vardhan has good image in the public as well as political circles. It is also felt that the Aam Aadmi Party may play the role of spoil sport for BJP in the elections.
The surveys suggestig that the congress may lose the power with a thin margin. The elections will take place in single phase on 4th December and counting of votes will be done on 8th December 2013.
