Many believe that Chandrababu Naidu was instrumental in the make over of Hyderabad. Naidu himself claims on every possible occasion that the credit for the development of Hyderabad as Cyberabad should goes to TDP rule under his leadership. It is ironic that the same Hyderabad is now spoiling the efforts of Naidu to make Seemandhra as Singapore.
Telangana Government has scored over Naidu in attracting investments from foreign countries in the previous one month rule. Chandrababu Naidu himself tweeted some days back that he is in talks with Hero Group CEO Munjal to lobby for the establishment of motor cycle plant in Andhra Pradesh.
But a few days later, Hero Group has taken a decision to set up the industry in Telangana, in the areas surrounding Outer Ring Road. KCR Government also gained upper-hand in convincing Australian Company NCL Consolidated Limited to establish iron ore industries in Karimnagar and Siddipet.
Both the firms will be investing about Rs. 2500 crores in respective industries and may create about 2000 jobs. This appears to be a clear indication that Chandrababu Naidu is going to face tough competition from his ‘own’ Hyderabad in his efforts to develop Andhra Pradesh.
