While the coronavirus pandemic is wildly spreading across the globe, it has reduced its acceleration in the Union Territory of Ladakh. It has reported 20 confirmed cases so far and zero deaths. Out of these 9 have recovered and discharged. The Union Territory’s capitals Leh and Kargil are the worst hit with 3 and 13 cases respectively while the remaining 4 cases are from other districts. Corona Testing Lab in Ladakh:
Recently, the Government of Ladakh has set up a coronavirus laboratory in the Union Territory to ensure that people are being tested with low cost sample testing. The Government has also established a 50-bed Intensive Care Ward in the district of Leh to meet the uncertainty of the coronavirus.
