CRDA Bill 2014 for AP Capital Region Development Authority

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has introduced AP Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Bill – 2014. The bill paves the way for the development of new capital city for the state of Andhra Pradesh. The area earmarked for the capital comes under the purview of CRDA Bill 2014.

The Government has decided to spend Rs. 1250 crore initially on the development CRDA. Out of the total amount, 1000 crore is for CRD fund and Rs. 250 crore for revolving fund for the development of infrastructure.

The CRDA, after its approval from the Assembly will prepare a master plan for the development of CRDA. The CRDA will also implement the development schemes, land pooling and town planning schemes.

The CRDA bill consists of 91 pages gives complete details of powers of authority, staff provisions, finances, land, property, planning process, town planning, land pooling, and use of lands for various purposes.

The 10 member CRDA is headed by the Chief Minister and Municipal Administration minister will be the vice chairman. Other members include finance minister, secretaries of municipal administration, finance, transportation, R and B, energy and other departments.

  1. what will happen to residential plots made in mangalagiri inside crda capital zone, will AP govt. take it or it will remain as it is.
