The Andhra Pradesh Government headed by Chandrababu Naidu has decided to go for land acquisition in some CRDA villages to reach the target of land requirements in CRDA region and construct a capital city, Amaravathi. The villages and mandals which have not surrendered the lands will be considered for land acquisition. Following are these mandals and villages in CRDA region.
Tadepalli Mandal: The villages include Tadepalli – 1, Penumaka. The Govt. set to acquire 2989 acres but succeeded in pooling 1100 acres only. Remaining land will be collected through land acquisition.
Mangalagiri Mandal: Nidamarru, Bethapudi and Yerrabalem villages.
Thullur Mandal: Rayapudi, Mandadam, Velagapudi, Lingayapalem. About 500 acres has to be acquired in these villages.
In total, AP Government is set to acquire 3000 acres through land acquisition laws where farmers were not interested in surrendering land through land pooling scheme.
The Land Acquisition notification is likely to be released by 14th May 2015 by the CRDA special officers / collectors. The identification process of the targeted lands will be completed by the 10th of May 2015.
