EPF Pension to Increase by Rs 1000 in India

Here is a good news for cores of EPF subscribers in India. The Labour Ministry of Government of India is proposed to increase Employees Provident Fund pension amount by Rs 1000 (A thousand rupees). The Ministry is actively considering the proposal as per the official sources in the ministry.

It is reported that the recommendation to increase the pension by Rs.1000 is presently before the consideration of finance ministry. The Union Cabinet of India is likely to take a decision soon on the issue. The Labour Ministry has responded after several representations from the EPF pensioners

Association pointing out the meagre pension amount of about Rs 50 to Rs 300 in several cases. The Pensioners Association has been demanding an increase of at least Rs 3000. The Central Cabinet will come out with a decision after the proposals and approvals from Finance Ministry. The Labour Ministry is on the reform mode. It is also reported that the EPF interest rate for the year will be decreased.
