The IRCTC has tied up with mobile shopping services provider NGPAY (www.ngpay.com) to offer mobile ticket booking for its customers. Following are some general doubts and clarifications regarding NGPAY application for IRCTC mobile ticket booking. ngpay is a mobile application which works on most of the JAVA enabled mobile phones. Only thing you need to do is activating GPRS with your mobile network operator. 1) What does IRCTC mean? How do I add IRCTC services to your list of Partners on NGPAY?
Answer: IRCTC stands for Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited. There are several steps to follow to complete this task These are as follows:
a). Select ‘Stores++ > Explore All’ in the main menu after opening the NGPAY application.
b). Select ‘Category’. Now you will get the updated list of Partners available on ngpay.

2) What are the railway services offered by IRCTC through ngpay application?
Answer: You can get almost all the services that are available with IRCTC main website www.irctc.co.in through ngpay. 3) What does an E-ticket mean?
Answer: E-ticket refers to Electronic Reservation Slip. This is a railway ticket which will be emailed by IRCTC to customer’s email id provided at the time of registration. Customer / Travelers have to take a print out of the e-ticket and carry it while travelling along with a valid ID proof in original. 5) What is my IRCTC ticket when booked through ngpay?
Answer: After successfully completing payment and ticket booking, you will receive a Confirmation Number, which is PNR. This will be your proof of booking. 6) How many seats / tickets can I book in a single ngpay ticket booking transaction?
Answer: You can book a maximum of six berths or seats at a time for a specified journey between any two railway stations served by the train and subject to distance restrictions in force. An user can book a maximum of ten tickets (PNR) in a month. You can book general (GN), ladies (LD) and tatkal (CK) quota berths / seats using ngpay booking services.

7) How to get your tickets?
Answer: IRCTC will send your E-Ticket to your email id. Customer should take a print out or mobile photo of the same and carry it along with a valid ID proof.
