Election Commission of India has all set to announce General Elections Schedule 2019. The schedule is most likely to be released any time in the first week of March 2019. Lok Sabha elections along with Assembly elections in AP will be held in multiple phases.
Elections in 9 Phases:
General Elections 2019 will be held in 9 phases this time. Dates may come out after Mahasivaratri on 4th March. Code of Conduct will come into force from the date of announcement of election schedule.
Government is sensing that the election schedule is most likely to come out before 8th March. It has directed several ministries to complete the pending decisions before 28th February 2019.
Elections in States:
Apart from Lok Sabha elections, Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim also will be held along with Lok Sabha elections.
Tough fight in AP:
It is going to be a tough fight in Andhra Pradesh for both ruling TDP and opposition YSR Congress. Both the parties are doing their best to get the power. TDP Government has rolled out several welfare schemes to retain the power while YSRCP is expecting to turn the tide in its favour.
