Goshamahal Assembly Constituency in Hyderabad – Telangana Elections

Goshamahal is an important Assembly constituency in Hyderabad – Telangana State. It is important because of its location within Hyderabad and political dynamics involved around it. T Raja Singh is the incumbent MLA of Goshamahal and he is represending BJP. The constituency has been in news for the controversial spats between Raja Singh and AIMIM leaders over Goraksha and other issues.

Raja Singh has been a voice for Hindu community in Goshamahal constituency. He won in 2014 elections with a majority of 46793 votes securing 55.37 percent votes. He defeated all the parties, Congress, TRS, AIMIM, TDP in 2014 elections. BJP has already announced candidature of Raja Singh for 2018 elections in Goshamahal constituency.

As per 2011 census, Goshamahal has a population of 2.67 lakhs voters and it is completely urban voters. SC population has 9.17 percent votes in this constituency. It comes under Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency.
