Gujarat Elections Exit Polls 2012 – Himachal Elections

With the end of polling in Gujarat elections 2012, all eyes are now on the counting of votes which is a few days away. Most of the exit polls are in support of incumbent CM Narendra Modi and many news channels and dailies are expecting a hat – trick for Modi. Following are details of some important exit polls. The voter turn out in Gujarat was recorded at 70 percent.

The NDTV, CNN – IBN, Aaj Tak, Star News etc have come out with their own exit polls on Gujarat elections. A poll predicted that out of the 182 assembly seats, 119 to 129 seats will be secured by the ruling BJP. It claimed that the Congress is likely to gain between 49 and 59 seats.

THE NDTV poll suggested 119-129 seats for Narendra Modi and 49-59 seats for the Congress. C-Voter, which conducted exit polls for Times Now channel has predicted 119 to 129 seats for BJP. The Headlines Today news channel has projected BJP to secure between 118 and 128 seats and the Congress may get 50 to 56 seats with just 37 per cent vote share.

In Himachal Pradesh The Congress and BJP are fighting neck to neck and the exit polls are predicting equal share of seats in the hill state. The CNN IBN – CSDS survey has suggested 29-35 seats each for BJP and the Congress and 2-6 seats for others. You can see ‘elections’ tab / menu for complete coverage of the elections in India .
