Health Insurance and Pension Schemes for Veda Pandits at Tirumala

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced various soaps for Veda Pandits serving at Tirumala. The Board has announced ‘Ayushman Bhava’ Insurance Scheme for the well being of the families of Veda Pandits. It is also decided to give pension for Veda Pandits and Scholarships to the students to pursue Vedic education. Following are some of the important decisions taken by the TTD at Veda Sammelan meeting held at Tirupati.

1. ‘Ayushman Bhava’: A Health Insurance Scheme for Veda Pandits in the name of the Pandits.
2. Widow Pension Scheme: Widows of Veda Pandits shall get Rs. 5000 per month as pension under Widow Pension Scheme.
3. Rs. 3 Lakhs will be deposited for the students pursuing Vedic Education.
4. Pension for Aged Pandits: Old aged Veda Pandits shall get Rs. 8000 as pension under this scheme.

These are the initial proposals and detailed guidelines have to be formulated and announced by TTD in due course.
