Historic moment for Amaravati – AP Secretariat Complex

In a historic moment, foundation stone for the new Secretariat building will be laid by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu on 27th December 2018. The five tower secretariat complex will be one of its kind in the country if materialised as per the plans.

Complete capital from June 2024:

Amaravati will be the full time capital of AP from June 2024 as the common capital status of Hyderabad expires on that day. Government has to replace the existing temporary structures with the permanent buildings for various wings and departments of the Government.

World’s tallest building:

IIT Madras has been engaged in supervising the quality of construction in Secretariat complex. The five tower building will be the world’s tallest Secretariat complex which will spread over 69.8 lakh sq.ft. with a cost of Rs.4890 crore.

Unique features:

The proposed Secretariat building of Amaravati will have several unique features. Each tower will be 212 meters high and total complex area is 41 acres. APCRDA is also making efforts to complete Judges City, ministers, secretaries residential complexes to be ready by February 2019.
