Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced a new scheme called Rolling Deposit Scheme (RDS) to make the reservation process convenient for the railway passengers. As per this new scheme, passengers can pay some advance money and can book e-tickets through IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in .
Rolling Deposit Scheme (RDS) will reduce the e-ticket booking time as the passengers need not pay the money through payment gateway. There will be no payment gateway charges under the new scheme. The money to be paid for ticket booking will be deducted from the deposit of the concerned passenger.
Railway passengers can join in Rolling Deposit Scheme with a minimum amount of Rs.1500 . There will be an option for RDS payment along with all other payment options at the time of payment. More details of the scheme may be available on the website at https://www.irctc.co.in/ .
