TRS Chief KCR has decided to not to merge the TRS with the Congress party. He completely ruled out the merger on the backdrop of the extended politburo meeting TRS on 3rd March 2014.
Moreover, he lambasted the Congress Government at the center for issuing ordinance to merge 7 Mandals of Khammam district in Andhra Pradesh. He also promised to fight the ordinance in Supreme Court.
KCR has compared Sonai Gandhi with Queen Elizabeth. He told in the press conference that Queen Elizabeth was not felicitated after India conceded Independence from British rule and it was Gandhi who secured place in the hearts of the people of country.
With this disclosure by KCR, Congress party is likely to review its strategy for Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions / states.
