LRS Last Date Extended in Andhra Pradesh

April 2020: Government of Andhra Pradesh has extended the last date for the submission of online applications for LRS scheme (Land Regularisation Scheme). Now the last date is not yet decided but likely to extend for three more months due to lockdown in the wake of corona virus.

Only 2 percent applications:

There were representations from people across the state for extension of last date for LRS application submission. DTCP has proposed 3 months extension as only 2 percent of owners of unauthorised layouts have applied for LRS.

Notification in January 2020:

The LRS notification has been issued on 8th January 2020. But all the related departments like revenue, panchayat raj, municipal administration are involved in corona related activities. Problems also with CARD services are noticed. With these entire process has been stopeed for the past two weeks.

LRS statistics:

Total unauthorised layouts in cities / towns: 1.5 lakhs
Unapproved layouts in Gram Panchayats: 1.6 lakhs
Total applications received as on 1st April 2020: 6000

DTCP (Directorate of Town and Country Planning) has proposed the state government to extend the last date for 3 months. It is under consideration by authorities and a final decision will be delivered soon.
