The government of Andhra Pradesh has launched the ambitious My Brick – My Amaravati programme to collect donations in the form of bricks for the construction of new capital city in Andhra Pradesh. Those wish to take part in the brick donation campaign can do the same through official website at www.amaravati.gov.in .
Cost of each brick is Rs 10. The donors have to enter their details and pay the required amount online after selecting the number of bricks wanted to donate.
The donors can also upload their photographs along with donation. At present only payments from India are being accepted and international payments will be accepted soon by the website.
The foundation stone for the capital Amaravati will be laid on 22nd October 2015. The delegates from Singapore and Japan along with Prime minister of India and various other dignitaries will be participated in the foundation laying ceremony.
