New website has been developed by the Government for the transport department of Telangana State. The public can avail the services of transport department in Telangana through http://www.transport.telangana.gov.in/ . Old website http://www.aptransport.org/ has been allotted to Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The Telangana transport department website is designed to cater the needs of ten districts of Telangana state, i.e. Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Mahaboobnagar, Nalgonda, Karimnagar, Khammam, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Warangal.
The services include licences, issue of registration numbers, slots booking for LLR and permanent driving licences. You can also search registration numbers.
A practice and mock test has been uploaded for LLR driving licence. You can download the question bank which will be useful for online test for LLR and Permanent driving licence. The website also provides link to National Permit Vehicles website at vahan.nic.in/npermit .

i got a party from nellore to purchase my vehicle (AP29 AV 8329) as i’ve transferred my vehicle to nellore but now the party has refused to purchase my vehicle.
Now i am have to cancel CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE as suggested by UPPAL RTA authority.
I have visited twice nellore but still the issue not being soughted out again UPPAL RTA are asking to bring the NOC from Nellore RTA.
The state has been bifurcated it is going to be hell out of my work.
Please do the needfull and take appropriate action on the RTA.

Hi Praveen,
Many more woes may be waiting for the two and four wheeler owners in both the state of AP and Telangana. The Governments may try to make these RTA issues also a income source instead of becoming user friendly.
In Telangana, it is still uncertain whether to change to number plates or complete registration numbers. It could be a different story in new AP.

On request your license can be traced out by the departmental staff by giving your date of birth, name & address details. This facility is not extended to the customers. You can also check out your license no. by noting down the license nos. of others who were issued licenses close to the date of your license issued date.

As per central Govt rule any person can go with their vehicle from one state to another without any hesitation and it is legally allowed and no need to change registration. Please advice.

You can visit Telangana Transport website. It is very user friendly. You can select the date and slot time for your driving test and attend the same.

The Telangana State Government employee has been sanctoned the loan for purchase a car. Generally the show room people should mention that the vehicle is purchased with the loan from the department i.e while making the T.R. they should collect the hypothication charges for Rs.100/-. The show room people omitted to mention in T/R and as usual the Registration is completed for the vehicle. Please advise me how to get the hypothication for the vehicle. is there any G.O. from the transport department for the hypothication procedure if not done during the registration of a CAR.
i had booked a slot for transfer of ownership of my wife’s car, on her death, in my name with application no. TS009/61303/2017/OR for AP 09 BW 8705 ON
04/08/2017 between 01 pm to 2pm and paid a total of Rs.935/–
on submission of papers, they did not accept it and i was told to get Magistrate certification from Nampally court, hyderabad.
unaware of modification of slot on the same day and absence of any guidance in this regard, I procedded to Nampally court and it took 3days to get Magistrate certification.
on 7th August I resubmitted my papers and I was told to re-book the slot afresh with fresh remittance of fee.
may I request you to reconsider the whole issue and do the needful of change of ownership in my name without insistence of fresh payment.
