The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has called for the nominations cum recommendations for the Padma Awards in recognition of work of distinction in various fields. The Padma Awards are given in the fields of Art, Literature and Education, Sports, Medicine, Social Work, Science and Engineering, Public Affairs, Civil Service, Trade and Industry etc.
The State Governments concerned also invites nominations for recommending to the Government of India for Padma Awards – 2018. The applications / nominations will be scrutinized by the experts committee appointed by the Government of India.
Nominations can be sent to the Collector and District Magistrate concerned. The application prescribed is available on the website of Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India. Last date for sending nominations to the Collector and District Magistrate is 31st August 2017.
State Governments recommend nominations for various Padma Awards, Padma Sri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan. The awards are very much popular in India. Padma awards will be presented by the President of India every year for the winners.
