Government of Andhra Pradesh has taken an important decision on the eve of Sankranthi festive season. All the pensions amount being implemented under NTR Bharosa scheme has been doubled from January 2019. About 54.14 lakh people will be benefited under various schemes.
Rs.2000 for senior citizens:
As per the latest announcement of CM Chandrababu Naidu, all the senior citizens in the state will get Rs.2000 as pension. Widows pension also will be increased to Rs.2000 from Rs.1000.
Apart from these, pensions for differently abled persons, weavers, toddy tappers, HIV parents, transgenders, fishermen, single women and dialysis patients also is doubled by the Government.
Raksha Scheme announced:
Chief Minister has also announced new scheme called Rakshna, to provide sanitary napkins to the school going children. About 6 lakh children will benefit from this scheme. These will be provided at the free of cost.
