Pedalandariki Illu Scheme in AP – House Sites for Poor – Selection and Allotment

Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced yet another welfare for poor people in the state. The scheme, Pedalandariki Illu (Housing for Poor) is aimed at providing permanent shelter to the people living under below poverty line in the state. Following are details of eligibility under this scheme, selection and allotment of house sites.

Eligibility for House sites scheme:

AP Government is proposed to distribute as many as 25 lakh house sites to the poor in urban and rural areas in the state under Navaratnalu – Pedalandariki Illu (houses for all the poor) scheme. The scheme is implemented in coordination with HUDCO (Housing and Urban Development Corporation limited) and in compliance Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

Rs. 1 for house site:

The cost of the house site is Rs.1 . Peopls must have white card. Government will collect only Rs. 20 towards stamp paper and lamination charges. The sites have to be used only for the purpose of house construction. Sale of sites is prohibited. They can transfer the house only after 5 years after allotment.

The construction of house will be facilitated by the Housing department through various housing programmes of the State and the Central Government like PMAY and as well as facilitate loans from Banks and other financial institutions.

Allotment Procedure:

House sites will be allotted in the form of conveyance deed so that duplication of beneficiaries will be avoided. There will be security features like Photographs & Thumb impressions and Signatures of parties along with their details (Executant / Claimant), Property details (Schedule), Witnesses.
