PM – KISAN Scheme First Phase Amount from 24 February 2019

PM-KISAN scheme is all set to be implemented from 24th February 2019 across the country. The central government will give Rs.6000 to farmers and this will be disbursed in three phases. First installment of Rs. 2000 will be credited into bank accounts of eligible farmers on February 24. Following are details of documents required, eligibility and other procedures to be followed in the implementation of PM KISAN scheme.

PM KISAN Second Instalment:

The second installment of Rs. 2000 under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM – KISAN) will be rolled out on 1st April 2019. It is expected that the first installment payments will be over by 31st March 2019 for all the farmers. About 50 lakhs farmers are expected to be benefited from PM KISAN scheme.

Data from States:

State Governments have to send the data of eligible farmers to the center in order to implement this scheme. BJP ruled states such as Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat are in forefront in sending the data. The state governments have to verify the data before sending it to the center. The list of beneficiaries for the first phase will be uploaded by state governments by 25 February.

Aadhaar Must:

The Center has clarified that no payment will be done without Aadhaar card. Farmers who do not have Aadhaar card have to furnish Aadhaar enrolment number. Aadhaat is made mandatory to avoid duplication of beneficiaries. No other documentation is required from the farmers end. States have to produce the data of farmers such as bank accounts, extent of land, age, gender etc.
