PM Kisan Scheme – Not Eligible Categories of People

The ambitious scheme of Government of India, PM KISAN has excluded certain categories persons / families from availing the benefits under the scheme. The families with higher income status are not eligible for benefits of PM KISAN Yojana scheme. Following are these categories:

1) All Institutional Land holders in the country.

2) Farmer families if one or more of its members belong to the following categories of employment / profession / service:

3) Former and present holders of any constitutional posts

4) Former and present Ministers in Union cabinet/ State Ministers and former ministers / present Members of Parliament (LokSabha/ RajyaSabha) or State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils.

5) Former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations are not eligible. Former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats are also not eligible for PM KISAN benefits.

6) All serving or retired officers / employees of Central / State Government Ministries / Offices / Departments. Those working in the field units of Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies are also not eligible. But Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV / Group D employees are eligible under PM KISAN scheme.

7) All superannuated / retired pensioners are not eligible, if their monthly pension is Rs.10,000 or more. Here are Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV / Group D employees are eligible.

8) All Persons / individuals who have paid Income Tax in last assessment year are not eligible.

9) Professionals / Public Servants like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking such practices are also not eligible for PM KISAN scheme benefits.
