There are so many ifs and buts in the implementation of PM Kisan Yojana Scheme. One important factor is the age of children. It is mentioned in the guidelines of the scheme that the family means, wife, husband and minor children. Here are a few details and clarifications regarding the age of children
Cut off date:
There is so much confusion in determining the age of children for PM Kisan (Pradhan Manthri Kisan Samman Nidhi) scheme. Government has not issued any specific guidelines on this initially.

Later on, Government of India has mentioned that the cut off date for the calculation of age of the children is 1st February 2019. Hence all the families with the children who attain major status as on 1st February 2019 are not eligible under PM Kisan Yojana scheme.
Families with children:
Families without children are also eligible for benefits under PM Kisan scheme. It does not exclude the joint families where in-laws of any one side / or both the sides stay along with wife and husband.
