Profile of Rapolu Anand Bhaskar – Rajya Sabha MP of Congress

Rapolu Anand Bhaskar is a surprise choice of the Congress Party for Rajya Sabha membership from Andhra Pradesh. The journalist turned politician is known as quiet and low profile man of Gandhi Bhavan. He is serving as secretary of APCC (Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee). Rapolu is considered for Rajya Sabha seat from Andhra Pradesh by the Congress high command. Here is a brief profile of Rapolu Anand Bhaskar:

Anand Bhaskar is a post graduate in Sociology and also worked as a journalist with a Telugu news paper. He joined in the Congress Party in 1994. He belongs to politically much active Warangal district. He took up politics as an avocation and aspired for Assembly ticket from Chennur Assembly Constituency in Warangal in 1994. Palvai Goverdhan Reddy is another senior leader of the Congress nominated for Rajya Sabha in 2012.

A native of Warangal district, Anand Bhaskar has earned a name for his skills in drafting party documents and rendering organizational work while maintaining a low profile with clean image. His declared assets as per the nomination papers submitted to EC were about Rs. 7 lakhs. Anandbhaskar wrote biography of Smt Indira Gandhi and served as political trainer for the Congress Party.
