Bangalore: Bhavani Revanna is a daughter in law of former Prime Minister of India, H.D. Deve Gowda. Bhavani has been fielded as Janata Dal (Secular) candidate from Ramanagara Assembly constituency. The elections will be held in the first week of May 2013.
Bhavani’s husband is son of Deve Gowda and also served as Minister in the state cabinet. Bhavani entered into politics as per the wishes of Deve Gowda and Chennamma.
HD Kumaraswamy was earlier elected from Ramanagara constituency and the seat was vacated after his election to Lok Sabha. Deve Gowda family is keen to field Bhavani from Ramanagara Constituency.
