Gummadi Kuthuhalamma is a former Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Assembly. She is a senior leader from Chittoor district of the state and also a doctor by profession. Kuthuhalamma won four terms from Vepanjeri Assembly Constituency of Chittoor district. The Vepanjeri segment was dissolved in 2009 as part of the reorganisation of territorial constituencies. She was denied Congress ticket initially. She lobbied at the AICC leadership and finally contested from Gangadhara Nellore constituency of Chittoor district.
Kuthuhalamma won from Gangadhara Nellore Constituency in 2009 elections. She was critical of the Chief Minister in recent times. Reports also says that she may shift her loyalties to YSR Congress Party soon or later. She was severely sick in 2011 and recovered at SWIMS after a long medication.
