Gunde Vijaya Rama Rao is a senior leader of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Party. He was a floor leader of TRS Party in AP Assembly for a while during his term as an MLA between 2004 – 2009. He contested and won from Ghanpur Assembly Constituency in 2004 elections. In 2009, he contested from Wardhannapet (SC) Constituency and lost to Kondeti Sridhar of the Congress Party.
Vijaya Ramarao has created sensation in 2004 elections by defeating senior leader and former minister Kadiam Sri Hari of the Telugu Desam Party (TP) from Station Ghanpur Constituency.
