Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu is a senior most leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He won four terms as an MLA from Puttur Assembly Constituency and two terms from Nagari Constituency of Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. He consecutively won in 1983, 1985, 1989 and 1994 elections and served as minister in the cabinets of late N.T. Rama Rao. Puttur constituency was cancelled after delimitation.
Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu joined in the Congress party in 2004 and elected from Puttur on the Congress ticket in 2004 elections. He later joined in TDP in 2008 and contested to win from Nagari Constituency in 2009 Assembly elections. He held important portfolios such as Education, Forests etc. in the cabinets of NT Rama Rao.
