Profile of Goddeti Madhavi – Araku Lok Sabha MP

Goddeti Madhavi is an Indian politician hailing from the Indian state, Andhra Pradesh. Madhavi, a former Physical education teacher, is currently the youngest member of parliament from Andhra Pradesh. She was elected to Lok Sabh under the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSR Congress Party) symbol from Araku Lok Sabha constituency in 2019 Indian general elections.

Personal details:

Madhavi was born on 18th June 1992 in Velagalapalem, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh to Shri Goddeti Demudu and Smt. Goddeti Chellayamma. She attended school in Vishakhapatnam, and completed her graduation in computers. Later she also attended SPACES Degree College and Srinivasa College of Physical Education and completed B.P.Ed. She also served as a Physical Education Teacher in one of the reputed schools in Visakhapatnam. She Married Kusireddi Siva Prasad on 18 Oct 2019 at her hometown.

Political Career:

Till date she holds various prestigious positions at the lower house of the parliament, after being elected as a member at the 17th Lok Sabha elections. She has been a member of the Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, since 24th July 2019, Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture since 13th September 2019 and Consultative Committee, Ministry of Food Processing Industries.

Social Activities and special interests

Since childhood she has taken keen interest in sports and craft and was a part of N.C.C., N.S.S. She also likes dancing and practices (Dimsha), Folk. Her interest in sports led her to many awards and accolades in Volleyball and Basket Ball. She also had the fortune to represent her state at State level sports events and championships. Madhavi assumed office on 23 May 2019 preceded by Kothapalli Geetha.
