Nimmala Kistappa is a senior leader of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Anantapur district. He is representing Hindupur Lok Sabha Constituency from 2009. Kistappa also served as a minister in the earlier TDP governments. Kistappa is a strong BC leader from Rayalaseema and also in TDP. Hindupur Lok Sabha Constituency consists of Raptadu, Madakasira, Hindupur, Penukonda, Puttaparthi, Dharmavaram and Kadiri Assembly constituencies. Nimmala Kistappa’s parents are Nimmala Rangappa and Nimmala Adilakshmamma. He born on 22 May 1983 and married to Smt. Uralakshmi. They have two sons. He studied B.Com is Osmania College at Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh and settled as Agriculturist and Businessman. His permanent address is at Gorantla, Anantapur district.
Nimmala Kistappa served as Member of Assembly (MLA) for two terms during 1994 – 1999 and again in 2000 – 2004. He was elected to 15th Lok Sabha in 2009 elections and presently member in the Committee on Health and Family Welfare and Committee on Food Management and Parliament House Complex.
