Profile of K.Kesava Rao- MP and CWC Member
Dr. K. Kesava Rao is a senior politician from Andhra Pradesh. He is member of the CWC (Congress Working Committee), which is the second highest decision making body of the Congress Party. He is also incharge of the West Bengal Congress Affairs. He served as President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee. Kesava Rao is known for his oratory skills and fine language. Presently he is Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from Andhra Pradesh.
Kesava Rao was a strong contender for the post of Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh before the emergence of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy as an undisputed leader. He shifted his political activities to Delhi after YSR left no space in AP. Presently, Kesava Rao is playing crucial role in coordinating Telangana Congress MPs and other leaders in order to bring pressure on the High Command for separate statehood to Telangana.
