She was elected to Lok Sabha in 2014 on the ticket of YSR Congress Party (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party. Geetha has shifted her loyalty towards TDP in the recent past. Geetha has defeated Gummidi Sandhya Rani of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in that elections. She has secured more than 91000 majority. Following is the profile / biodata of Kothapalli Geetha.

Family Details:

Kothapalli Geetha was born on 4th February 1971 and her parents are Kothapalli Jacob and Lizzamma. Her native place is Thimmapuram in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Geetha was married to PR Koteswara Rao on 28 August 1989. They have a son and a daughter.

Qualifications:

Geetha has studied her M.A. (Public Administration and Sociology) from Andhra University and also completed B.Ed. at M. R. College of Education, Vijayanagaram. Her place of residence at Hyderabad is at Plot No. 100, Road No.72, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

Positions:

Kothapalli Geetha was elected to 16th Lok Sabha in 2014. She is member of Committees on Human Resource Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Coffee Board, Agriculture Product Export Development Authority (APEDA) and Advisory Committee, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

About Araku Constituency:

Araku is the only ST reserved constituency in Andhra Pradesh. It is the second largest constituency in country in terms of area. Apart from that, Araku is one of the most beautiful and well known tourist spots in the country.
