Belgaum: Kudachi is a reserved Assembly constituency in Belgaum district of Karnataka. The constituency is presently represented by Ghatage Shama Bhima of the Congress Party. He defeated BJP candidate Mahendra K Tammannavar with a thin margin of 696 votes in 2008 Assembly elections.
The Congress party may field Ghatage Shama Bhima in 2013 elections also. The BJP may look for more strong candidate. Mahendra Tammannavar has secured 30.87 percent votes in 2008 elections.
