Ponnala Lakshmaiah is a senior Congress politician from Warangal District. He contested and won from Jangoan Assembly Constituency of Warangal District. This is the fourth time he was elected as an MLA. Ponnala Lakshmaiah served as Minister during 1991-92 and again joined Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy cabinet as Minister for Major and Medium Irrigation. He continued in the same portfolio during Rasaiah’s rule as well.
Lakshmaiah was shifted to Ministry of Information Technology by N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. Lakshmaiah is a staunch follower of late YSR. Jalayagnam with huge investments and government allocations has been taken up under the ministry of Lakshmaiah.
