V. Hanumantha Rao is a senior most leader of the Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh. He is one of the staunch followers of Nehru – Gandhi family and strong loyal of Rajiv – Sonia Gandhi leadership. He has been in the active politics for more than three decades and held various positions at the state and central levels. V. Hanumantha Rao is known as close to the Congress High Command at 10 Janpath, New Delhi.
V. Hanumantha Rao turned highly critical of late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy family after tragic death of the later. Known as ‘VH’ and ‘Hanumanthanna’, he has been making number of corruption allegations on YSR and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He managed to retain Rajya Sabha seat for the third term.
