Reservations for Differently-abled People in 2 BHK Housing Scheme in Telangana

As part of its pro-poor welfare measures, Government of Telangana has taken a decision to provide separate quota for differently abled persons in its prestigious 2BHK (2 Bed Room) Housing Scheme. The decision has been announced by the finance minister after requests from the State Vikalangula Cooperative Corporation.

Reservations from 3 to 5 percent:

The Corporation has distributed motorised vehicles, laptops, remote – operated wheel chairs and smartphones to 1750 differently abled persons in Hyderabad. The Government has also increased the reservations for differently abled persons from 3 to 5 persons.

2 BHK Scheme:

The Government has proposed to provide reservations to physically challenged persons in 2 BHK (Pakka Housing Scheme). Separate quota will be provided for them while allotting houses as per the norms of the Government.
